Known as the "Toy-Town" of Karnataka, Channapatna is famous worldwide for its traditional wooden craftsmanship. These domed pieces are hand-turned from wood and finished with safe, non-toxic natural lacquer dyes, giving them their signature glossy shine and ensuring they are eco-friendly and safe for all ages.

What's Included

1x Engraved Bamboo Game Board: A beautifully finished 5x5 grid featuring laser-engraved detailing and central mandala artwork.

16x Authentic Channapatna Wooden Pawns: Hand-crafted, lacquered wooden playing pieces finished in natural vegetable dyes, featuring four distinct color sets (red/green, yellow/black, green/red, and orange/black).

4x Traditional Cowrie Shells: Used in place of standard dice to determine your movement.

1x Official Instruction Manual: A detailed guide by 3KONA Studio on how to play, making it easy for beginners to learn the rules.

How to Play (Quick Guide)

The Setup: The board is kept in the centre, and each player begins with their coins at a different starting point on the board.

The Movement: Players take turns throwing all four cowrie shells to determine their move. Coins travel in an anti-clockwise direction through the outer squares, and then transition to a clockwise direction when entering the inner squares.

Cutting & Safe Zones: If your coin lands on a square occupied by an opponent, their coin is "cut" and sent back to its starting square. However, the crossed squares marked with mandalas are "safe places" where no coins can be cut.

Entering the Inner Circle: A player must successfully cut an opponent's coin at least once to be granted access to the inner squares of the board.

Extra Turns: You earn a bonus turn to throw the cowries again if you roll a "chowka" or a "baara" (a four or an eight), or whenever you successfully cut an opponent's coin.

How to Win: The race finishes when a coin reaches the innermost crossed square. The first player to successfully navigate all of their coins into this final innermost square wins the game.
